Sir Tom Farmer, the founder of the world-renowned automotive car repair chain Kwik Fit, will be hosting a seminar on Tuesday, January 31, where he will tell the story of his own success and also give advice on subjects ranging from innovation to customer service.
The event is being held at the Yours Business Networks Gateshead business hub at Delta Bank Road, Metro Riverside Park, which is owned by Morston Assets, a company that Sir Tom Farmer also joint founded.
While the North East audience will be able to see Sir Tom Farmer in person, the event will also be streamed live to another four locations, Yours Business Network sites at King’s Lynn, Norfolk, and Nantwich, Cheshire, and to the University of East Anglia and UEA London.
The state-of-the-art technology at the Gateshead centre, which opened in July 2011, includes the latest in HD video conferencing, which will allow Sir Tom Farmer to interact with attendees at all of the centres.
Jackie Ridley, centre manager at Yours Business Networks Gateshead, said: “It’s a great coup for us to bring someone of Sir Tom Farmer’s calibre to the North East and for business people in the region to be able to benefit from his expertise and experience.
“We hope that would-be entrepreneurs from all business backgrounds will come along and see what he has to say – and also see the technology we have in place that allows us to share this experience with our other sites around the country.”
North East business people will also be able to talk to Sir Tom Farmer in person and get some first-hand advice, based on his 45 years in business.
Yours Business Networks Gateshead is the third site to be opened by property developer Morston Assets, which is based in Holt, Norfolk, and specialises in large regeneration projections combining functional design with sustainable building methods.
