Planning Consent Granted at Biddulph, Staffordshire Moorlands

12th October 2011

Outline planning permission has been secured on our land at Springfield Road, Biddulph following the completion of a legal agreement. The application was unanimously approved at planning committee and we were commended by councillors for our close work with the Town Council and for taking the initiative in ensuring that local residents and cllrs were heavily involved; described by cllrs as a piece 'of localism in action'. The land is currently allocated as Open Space in the Local Plan and has been the subject of two previously refused applications for residential development. The proposal will lead to the development of part of the site for up to 10 houses and the remainder will be transferred to the Town Council for use as public open space and allotments.

Morston are now seeking to dispose of the land holding to a development partner who would implement the consent.
