Plans for 19 New Homes at Yours South Lynn Submitted to Council

7th July 2011

A plan to build 19 new homes in South Lynn for first-time buyers has been submitted to West Norfolk council. Applicant Morston Assets has said the proposed properties are a combination of two- and three-bedroom homes which "fuses traditional designs with a modern external appearance". The proposed new development will also feature a communal barbecue area and comes after the company built 109 apartments and houses in the area. David Dodge, chief executive for Morston Assets, said: "We are delighted to bring forward a new phase of development for South Lynn. "We've been working with existing residents to bring forward designs which are shaped by the way in which people use their homes and the neighbourhood space we create. "Having already established a range of apartments and family houses, we felt the community would benefit from a further phase of more traditional 'starter' and 'first mover' homes and our existing residents agreed." Mr Dodge added he hopes the plan will be determined by the council's development control board in early September with building work starting shortly afterwards and the new homes being available from spring 2012.
