Yours Business Networks – Trial "Video Conferencing without walls"

Yours Business Networks and its parent company, Morston Assets, have begun to trial the use of the Scopia Mobile “Video Conferencing without Walls” system integrating their High Definition Video Conference equipped group of Yours Business Networks Centres with webcam enabled desktop and laptop computers, Apple iOS and Android devices.

An initial in-house trial successfully linked members of staff based in office locations with HD VC equipment to field based staff utilising PC, laptops, ipad2's and iphone4' using a combination of office based LAN, wi-fi, public access wi-fi and 3G

Morston Assets Chief Executive, David Dodge, commented "We have been an advocate of video conferencing for a long time and have successfully installed HD VC equipment in all of our offices and Yours Business Networks Centres. This has enabled us to communicate both with remote workers, consultants, suppliers and business contacts in the UK and abroad. More importantly it has allowed our Small and Medium sized Enterprise tenants and Business Club Members access to market places usually reserved for bigger businesses, and allowed them to host and take part in a range of meetings and seminars drawing geographically diverse SME's together with parties including Jon Moulton, the University of East Anglia and Lloyds Banking Group."

Dodge continued "We are extremely excited at the prospects that the Scopia Mobile product brings as it will allow people who have not been physically close to our Yours Business Networks Centres to join video conferences hosted by Yours Business Networks. Our 100Mb backbone provides ample capacity to handle the traffic being put over it without undue buffering and delays which plague some other systems. It will enable us to connect up to eight locations using a blend of HD Video Conferencing, PCs, laptops, iphones, ipads and Android devices for face-to-face meetings, Data Collaboration to view presentations, spreadsheets, documents and images or the simultaneous use of VC and Data Collaboration at the same time.

We believe that this truly does begin to open up previously inaccessible market places to SMEs, which will allow people to work in a more sustainable, efficient and cost effective manner by reducing the need to travel to meetings.
